About the Author
Russell Dunn is a former New York State–licensed hiking guide who has now authored or coauthored 49 published books, most of which explore the natural environment of Upstate New York and New England. His regional outdoors books include nine waterfall guidebooks, five paddling guidebooks, seven guidebooks to regional glacial erratics and other unusual rock formations, and five collections of history hikes and walks that he coauthored with his novelist wife, Barbara Delaney. Russell has also published a series of anaglyph 3-D books.
For fifteen consecutive years, Russell and Barbara led hikes to waterfalls in the Adirondacks. The hikes came to be known as “Waterfall Weekend” and took place annually in early May in the Keene Valley area.
