Congressman John W. Olver Ranger Ed Henry will never be a ‘lone ranger,’ for thousands have read his works and through the magic of words and the power of imagination have hiked every step of the way with him. If Henry weren’t writing guidebooks, he would be a writer of nature essays, because he has the heart of a naturalist. He writes in a style that is both fluid and lyrical. He doesn’t just describe what he sees—he captures its very essence.
